Social Sentinel Featured on CNN

This week, we are all remembering the lives lost last year during the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Among the many questions asked is: “How can we prevent this from happening again?”

Media across the country are focusing on stories surrounding the shooting and we’ve been asked to comment on safety and security efforts that lead to the prevention of acts of violence. CNN recently aired a piece featuring one of our clients in Bristol, CT. In the story, Mr. Boulanger shares how his school has averted about 20 tragedies because of insights generated through Social Sentinel, and provided support to those in need.

We are deeply dedicated to the safety of students, and believe that hearing the cries for help, often shared online, is one of the most important tools of protection.

Social Sentinel was also featured in a recent Atlanta Journal Constitution piece highlighting how schools in Florida use social media threat alert technology.
